Native to eastern North American oak woods and bogs, this evergreen groundcover produces a wintergreen mint aroma when the leaves are crushed. White nodding bell-shaped flowers along 3-6” tall stems from June to August are followed by bright red berries in fall that persist through winter. Provide morning sun and light afternoon shade and consistent moisture. Plant 18” apart.
