Loose spikes carry tiered flowers that appear in whorls and are yellow with purple spots. The variable light pink, yellow or white bracts at the base of the flower dominate the bloom color. This beebalm is an important component of the pollinator friendly garden but will also make a great addition to the cottage or herb garden. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil, with good air circulation. In its native habitat, it is often found growing in dry sandy soils. Typically grows 1-2' tall but can grow to 3'. Plant 24" apart.
