A colonized host of many bees, butterflies and other pollinators, common yarrow from Europe has mixed with native species and become naturalized in the United States. Many attributes including deer resistance, drought tolerance, heat and humidity tolerance, and long bloom time, make it a good choice for butterfly gardens and naturalized meadows. Green-grey fern-like foliage is topped with flat clusters of small white fragrant florets in June through September. A great addition to a native garden. Spreads by rhizomes and grows 1-3’ tall and wide. Plant 18" apart.
