The deep pink double flowers cover the foliage of ‘Sarah Bernhardt’ from May to June to a height of 2–3'. Remember to plant the eyes (or buds) so that the tops of the eyes are no more than 2" below the surface of the soil.  In heavy clay soil plant them 1" deep. Shallow planting will not hurt the plants, and will encourage flower production. Plant 24” apart.
