This lovely 3-4' tall clumping Aster has striking dusky purple foliage and produces dense sprays of tiny pinkish-white daisy-like flowers with contrasting rose-red centers.  The mass of tiny flowers in late summer-fall are a magnet for bees and butterflies, making it an excellent choice for pollinator gardens.  A nice trim before the fall season will allow for a rebloom right before first frost.  For best foliage coloration, plant in full sun.
